Remember Harry and Louise? Harry and Louise appeared in an ad campaign launched to defeat Hillary Clinton’s universal health care plan. The couple sat together expressing their very grave concerns about the mess the government might make in offering health care to each and every citizen. “If we let the government choose, we lose.” The ads worked.
Guess what? Fifteen years later, Harry and Louise are back in a new ad campaign.
Dismayed over the recent cancer diagnosis of a friend without health insurance, Harry and Louise want the government to step in and do the very thing they so successfully kept from happening over a decade ago. As Harry muses, “Too many people are falling through the cracks.”
